The Spallation Neutron Source accelerator systems consist of a ~1 GeV H-, pulsed, superconducting Linac, with ~1000 turn H- injection stripping accumulator ring and single-turn extraction to a Hg target. It has operated for extended periods at ~1 MW with ~ 90% availability and recently demonstrated beam power up to 1.4 MW. The approach to reliable operation at the SNS will be discussed including Metrics, Management Information Systems, RAMI Modeling, Configuration Control, Work Control and the Spares Policy.
