TRIUMF is Canada’s national laboratory for Nuclear and Particle Physics. TRIUMF’s flagship science program is the Rare Isotope Beam (RIB) physics at the ISAC facility. With the goal to ultimately triple the current RIB capability, TRIUMF has recently embarked on the construction of ARIEL, the Advanced Rare IsotopE Laboratory. ARIEL will use proton-induced spallation and electron-driven photo-fission of ISOL targets for the production of short-lived rare isotopes that are delivered to experiments at ISAC. I will present highlights and recent developments of ISAC, give an overview of the ARIEL project including status of design and construction of the new high power superconducting electron linac, and a progress report on the VECC-TRIUMF Test Facility which serves as a systems integration test of the ARIEL electron linac. I will conclude with the ARIEL completion phases and science objectives of each phase.
